Please note: a referee’s personal CIPP coverage is in jeopardy if they referee a match for a club that is not CIPP’d. Low CIPP player counts are a trickier issue, as clubs tend to CIPP players right up until the night before a match. But it should be a red flag for you to confirm at the field.

1. Witness the red card infraction. Keep in mind that this is a serious matter, and if you do not actually witness the incident or get the word from your assistant referee as to what happened, do not issue a red card – your creditability is at stake.
