Promotional Video for the Vegas Casino 7′s – spot the SCRRS refs!
During the recent 7′s tournament hosted inside a Las Vegas casino, the tournament organizers produced a promotional video highlighting the aspects of the event to help promote future events. Plenty of our local referees were on hand and offered nice comments to support the tournament.

Referee Nigel Owens Bowled Over During Test Match
Posted by RefsFromChair on August 21st, 2010Minutes before the half break in the 3rd 2010 Tri-Nations clash between South Africa and New Zealand, referee Nigel Owens is caught between a darting All Black halfback Jimmy Cowan and Springbok flanker Juan Smith and took a pretty heavy hit and then landed at the bottom of the breakdown. British Columbia U-17 Defeats Fallbrook HS Girls 27-5

Saturday August 14 saw a great match up between two top girls’ teams as the British Columbia U-17 Select side faced off against State champs the Fallbrook High’s Girls Team. Unfortunately for the local side, Fallbrook was unable to shake off the cobwebs of having the last few months off, and BC came out on top 27-5.
