Fall Fitness Testing

Posted by ncsmeda on August 10th, 2016

The window for fall season fitness testing is now open. Everyone has until Sept 9th (6 weeks from now) to be tested.

Here is the link to the USA Rugby High Performance Referee Development database.  Please review your information on every tab:

National appointments for the fall will be worked out following the 9th and only those referees with a passing fitness test will be assigned.  Fitness testers for your area are listed on the beep testers tab. You can also use gyms (Like Velocity, some cross fits, etc.) who can certify your test score.  Results should be sent to Amanda Cox (amandacox@usarugby.org) or Paul Bretz (pbretz@usarugby.org).

Referees who did not pass the spring fitness test HAVE TO pass the fall test before the cutoff or they will be removed from the database and consideration for national appointments (15’s).

For any questions, contact Amanda Cox at USA Rugby (e-mail address referenced above).

Referee Advice

If you do not like to be shouted at, then don’t shout at somebody else. Be firm, using a normal, relaxed voice. Shouting indicates a loss of control, not only of oneself, but also the game. If you can’t control yourself you cannot be expected to control others.
