Dear SCRRS: 10559827_10152291258082945_726084526366940796_n

I want to thank all who voted and trusted in my vision for SCRRS moving forward.  SCRRS future is brighter with much opportunities for those who remain positive, focused, consistent and dedicated. We all have a plethora of reasons as to why we referee rugby and the one reason we all have in common is we do it for the money (just kidding).  WE love the game.  Keeping this in mind, the game constantly changes and evolves and thus so do we as referees.  Therefore, it is even more important to send a consistent message both on and off the pitch that we are a Society of professionals delivering the best customer service experience possible.  Very soon, you will see on our website a list of my tasks going forward and if you think something needs to be added, please contact me directly.

You will see many changes, some significant and others unnoticeable but be assured all changes are for the better for all as a whole. You can expect a flurry of activity in the upcoming weeks, including a budget, draft proposal for amending our By-laws, P&P, training, standardized referee development program (which shall include fitness requirements), as well as many other subjects. Your patience in the first few weeks is much valued by the entire executive as we establish our own priority lists that include much of your very own concerns.  We will have quarterly general meetings starting in November (attendance will be requested as we will go over proposed By-law amendments). Our winter/spring meeting we will be virtual ie telephonic/Skype deal.  Your executive will have monthly updates and you will see these results posted on our website as well as all minutes from meetings going forward (including this past AGM).

I, along with your newly elected executive, look forward to enhancing your experience as a member of our great Society and promise to deliver to you, our customer, the best experience and value possible.  We are here to serve you going forward positively, respectfully and professionally.

Serving you.
