Referee Chris Pollock Hit From Behind – Super 15 Rugby

You know you’ll get a shot in the back every so often as a referee. We all know the feeling of getting your teeth rattled. New Zealand referee Chris Pollock shook off a big hit in the Waratahs verses Crusaders match in the third round of the 2011 Super 15 Rugby season.

Referee Advice

If you do not like to be shouted at, then don’t shout at somebody else. Be firm, using a normal, relaxed voice. Shouting indicates a loss of control, not only of oneself, but also the game. If you can’t control yourself you cannot be expected to control others.
