Video Example: Line-Out Position Correctly Marked

Posted by SCRRS Website Committee on March 10th, 2011

New Zealand assistant referee Garratt Williamson is right on the mark with a correct line-out position call in the first half of the Chiefs verses Rebels match. Another good video example coming from the third round of the 2011 Super 15 Rugby season.

Wouldn’t that have been a knock-on, though? Looked like he knocked it forward into touch.

The ball wasnt knocked on. The ball broke the line of touch before he touched it. Line out to black throwing marking where the ball was kicked at.
